Homemade Beauty Recipes

Good Morning my Beautiful Followers,

It's Friday..YAY...Don't know how the weather will be treating you but as for me we're expecting rain/cold and some sunshine (sigh) so what better way to spend my wet weekend than pampering myself?!  NONE.

So I'll be rewarding myself some much needed ME TIME!! and trying some of these"Amazing Homemade Beauty Recipes"!!

Hope you guys get to try and enjoy them as well and remember to take some time to: Pamper YOU and Do YOU...In order to make the people around us happy we must make ourselves happy.

"Me-Time" Facial Massage
A simple facial massage performed on yourself can help combat a dull complexion and relieve stress and strain, leaving both you and your skin refreshed and rejuvenated.

Ingredients
Facial massage oil (like apricot kernel oil)
Lavender essential oil

Directions:
Mix together the facial oil and lavender and warm a few drops between your hands, cupping them over your nose and take 3 deep breaths.

To Massage:
1. Sweep your right hand downwards from the top of your neck outward across your decollete to your shoulder.
2. Sweep hands from the middle of your forehead up towards the hairline and outwards towards the templates. Finish with a sweep under the eyes (along the bone).
3. With alternate hands stroke upwards along the middle of the eyebrows upwards along the forehead.
4. Gently pinch the chin and jaw line with your thumbs under the chin and fingers on top of the jaw line.



Papaya Face Mask
This mask is easy to make and help reduce wrinkles (I needed) making us look less stressed. Papaya has enzymes in it similar to alpha hydroxy acid.

Ingredients
3 tablespoons of blended papaya
1/3 cup oatmeal
1 tablespoon of honey

Directions:
Blend all the ingredients together. Smooth mask on the face and leaave on for 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.



Fresh Strawberry Mask
Strawberries are rich in salicylic acid, the same key ingredient in many commercial acne products. Reduce stress-induced blemishes with this edible mask.

Ingredients
1/2 cup fresh strawberries
1 tablespoon sour cream
2 teaspoons honey

Directions:
Mix together all ingredients until smooth using a fork or blender.
To Use:
Spread over your face and neck and let sit for 20 minutes. Rinse with cool water and pat skin dry.



Honey Hair Pack
Honey does great things for your hair. It is a natural humectant, which means it attracts and holds in moisture. It's good for treating hair that has been damaged by the sun, wind or styling. And it will add body and bounce to your strands. It may seem a bit sticky but honey rinses out of your hair easily.

Ingredients
1/2 cup pure honey

Directions:
Massage the honey into your hair and leave on for 15  to 20 minutes. You may cover your head with a plastic shower cap or warm towel. Rinse your hair well with warm water.



Avocado Oil Conditioner
This rich hair conditioner is similar to the "hot oil" treatments offered in salons. It contains avocado oil, which keeps hair soft, radiant and flexible.

Ingredients
1 tablespoon avocado oil
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon honey
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Directions:
Mix all ingredients together and stir until smooth and creamy. Massage into your hair and scalp. Cover your head with a shower cap or warm towel and relax for 15 minutes. Shampoo and rinse hair well.



Relaxing Foot Soak
This is a great way to detox and relax, especially since many of us spend all day on our feet.

Ingredients
1 cup Epsom salt
1 peppermint tea bag
1 chamomile tea bag
1 basin of water

Directions:
Fill a basin with warm water and add the Epson salts and tea bags. Soak feet for 30 minutes.



Old-Fashioned Bubble Bath
This indulgent old-fashioned bubble bath will take you back to your childhood. The sugar and egg whites condition skin and add to the bubbly effect.

Ingredients
1/2 cup milky liquid soap or shower gel
1 tablespoon sugar or honey
1 egg white

Directions:
Mix together all ingredients. To use, pour the entire mixture under the running water as you draw your bath.







Lavender Spritzer
Use this refreshing spritzer anytime you need a soothing boost.

Ingredients
Distilled Water
Lavender Aqua (essential oil)

Directions:
Mix a drop or two of the lavender aqua (or essencial oil) in a bottle of distelled water. Store in refrigerator and spray on face and boy for a refreshing and soothing lift.


Super Muscle Soothing Soak
This is the perfect bath after a day of strenuous activity. You'll feel your muscles relax as you bathe.

Ingredients
1 cup kosher salt or sea salt
1 cup baking soda
1 cup Epsom salts

Directions:
Mix together all ingredients and store in an airtight jar. To use, pour 1/2 cup of bath soak under warm running water.



Petal-Perfect Bath
This bath will leave you relaxed and refreshed. Many different cultures believe soaking in bath water with flowers symbolizes purifying the soul (so let's get purifying girls)

Ingredients
Flowers (Roses are recommended but any flower you have will work)
Bubble Bath (optional)

Directions:
Peal the petals from your flowers and drop them into a hot bath (add bubble bath too if you like). The flowers will make your bathroom smell wonderful and make your bath water look dreamy. (sigh)

  3. Hi Steph1990: Yes honey is reallly easy to come off..just shampoo your hair couple of times if you find it hard to come off but is truly easy.
